Jets shine in season opener against the Bills, winning, 48-28

All doubts can be left in the past, as the New York Jets, beat the Buffalo Bills,48-28, at MetLife stadium yesterday.

Mark Sanchez was excellent in the season opener, going 19-of-27, 266 passing yards, and three touchdowns.  Honestly, I thought Sanchez was going to fail and Tim Tebow was going to take over after a silly play where Mark Sanchez try’s to flip a pass to Santonio Holmes and got picked off in the process by the Bills, Bryan Scott.

But the Jets quickly redeemed themselves with Darrelle Revis picking off Bills QB, Ryan Fitzpatrick.  That was probably one of the best plays in the game and a big momentum builder for the Jets.

After that, it was just downhill for the Bills, as they lost RB Fred Jackson to an injury in the first half and their offense couldn’t get anything going, nor their defense was making stops.  Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 3 touchdowns, and he also threw 3 interceptions.  He was very out of sync with his offense while misreading the Jets defense, which lead to him being under pressure the entire game. He finished the game 18-for-32 with 195 yards through the air.

The only real good thing that happened yesterday was C.J. Spiller running the ball for 169 yards on 14 carries and scoring a touchdown.  He also had a fumble lost.  The replacement for Fred Jackson showed some great stuff with his time on the field.

It was just an awful day for Buffalo fans yesterday.
